Head to a winery with a difference—the Santorini Wine Museum and family winery in Santorini. Benefit not only from a wine tasting, but also a visit to the museum in the old cellars to learn more about Santorini’s wine traditions.

Explore the wine museum, a carved labyrinth contained inside a 300-meter long cave eight meters below the ground. Check out historical exhibits and get a glimpse of what life was like as a winemaker on a Greek island from the 1600s onwards, including peeks at rare machinery and tools

Enjoy the museum for 1 to 2 hours and dive into the sights with an audio guide available in 14 languages or guidebook available in 22 languages.

Then head to the winery of the Koutsoyannopoulos family, who offer 4 generations of winemaking knowledge. Be treated to an hour-long tasting, with some of the best wines produced at the winery in a specially made wine-tasting area.

The museum is phenomenal, very interesting and informative, full of content. The tasting was great, the wines are perfect and the whole experience was great. The museum can be easily reached by bus from Fira to Kamari (or vice versa, depending on where you are located), and buses run approximately every half hour. I recommend this experience to everyone!
